Collaborating with the Sami craftspeople, the original inhabitants of northern Scandinavia from the area commonly called Lapland, Maria Rudman creates a collection of handcrafted pewter and leather bracelets. Many Sami people keep reindeer for sustenance and each of these bracelets is made from leather harvested from the herd, as opposed to outsourced manufactured leather, and embellished with twisted pewter thread - each design is unique to a particular artist. This bracelet is crafted from five strands of twisted and braided pewter thread secured with leather ends and an antler button closure.
About seven inches long and 1/2 inch wide.
